The Jaffe Bunch

Michael ‘Hairy’ Jaffe and I have been friends for 18 years. We were in bands together and were inseparable for a long time. One time I took him surfing and I gave him this board that was sooo old and waterlogged, it wouldn’t even float a baby. Well I paddled out and couldn’t find him out in the surf so I thought he gave up. About 10 minutes later, I see this guy on a longboard towing poor Mike out there in this choppy 6 foot swell, but the best part I think was trying to get the wax out of his chest hair! Years later I shot his wedding to the fabulous Christine. Now they’re going to celebrate their 10th anniversary on July 4th . Man I can’t believe where the time goes. They have two amazing boys Julian 7, and Aiden 2. It was a great time watching them play with those boys. Lovina and I had so much fun shooting them and running around Red Bank.

|| Trash The Benz ||

On St Patricks Day Lovina and I decided to celebrate in the only way we know how. No not drinking Guinness, putting on our Kilt and combat boots and starting fights, although thats been known to happen. Nope, we grabbed a couple of beautiful designer gowns, given to us by Mustillo's (11 Broad st. Red Bank 732741.0258) and traveled around our neck of the Jersey shore and make photographs of beautiful people in ugly places. We snatched our great friend the famous Mike of Michael Simons Videography Productions and a couple of hot broads (or two fantastic friends of ours Dana and Keisha) and actually filmed what happened. Well we don't have the film but we do have a really fun slideshow to show you . We are calling it "Trash the Benz " instead of trash the dress, beacuse we were driving in Mike's SL500 and well, you'll see. Thank God no one got hurt. Sorry Mike , if you need a ride dude just gimme a call anytime.

Well again we are blown away by how fun and cool our brides & grooms are. Check out this card we just got from Pam + Jason.

So Molly got into John's combat boots today and grabbed my new Lomo camera and exclaimed, "Pidturrre!" (thats how says picture). I was just so taken by the fact that she knew what to do with it!! Oh, if she only knew how cute she is...wait...I think she does!!
Watch out Annie Leibovitz.  You've got competition!!

We put up a new slideshow for THE MOLLY PITCHER INN. Its right up the block from us right here in Beautiful downtown Red Bank, so we're there like every other weekend. We even try to go for Sunday Brunch when Molly (our daughter not the hotel) is behaving. We also would like to thank Amanda , Shari, Jim, Janice, and all of the staff for all of the support they have shown to us. You are all greatly appreciated over here. John & I saw it last night cause I am a major U2 fan!! It was AMAZING!! My only complain was that the 3-D glasses they handed out didn't look like Bono's:( Other than that you should all go check it out cause its only playing for a very limited time.

We shot a great wedding on kind of a misty day on February 17. I'll tell ya though, misty or not this couple and the amazing Addison Park looked totally awesome! Thanks guys for a fantastic day, and thank you to all of the staff at Addison Park, you really made us feel welcome.

So we have been OVERWHELMED by the response of our awesome clients and other professionals in our industry with prayers and well wishing after the passing of my Dad. We just wanted to take the time to THANK YOU all from the bottom of our hearts. Molly, Lovina and I are just so very humbled by the beautiful things you wrote to us both in the comments on our blog here and in your emails. We even had a whole bunch of wonderful people send us cards and flowers. To come into the studio and see that was so uplifting. We are truly blessed. We are blessed to have clients that we consider close friends, and we are blessed to wake up each and every day and perform a "job" that we have a huge passion for. You all have inspired us to spread goodness and blessings. We will pay it forward to anyone who we may think is in need. Thank you.

These flowers were given to us by Minna + Charlie. They are getting married at New York Botanical Garden this May. Thanks Guys, hey when your in town lets have a drink!

|| Natalie's Bridal Shower ||

Today was my sister-in-law, Natalie's, surprise bridal shower. So we all gathered up at the Harborside Grill in Atlantic Highlands and I got to take some pics of the beautiful favors and details that cousin/maid-of-honor Nikki Ann put together before the guest of honor got there. Natalie was super surprised (as you'll see in the pictures) cause she thought she was attending a birthday party for Charles. We all had a great time laughing, talking, taking pictures, playing silly shower games and watching Natalie open her awesome presents-Aunt Arlene's was of course the most creative one as always! Also, FYI, Natalie love's Mickey Mouse so you'll see the biggest smiles in the pictures when she opened a Mickey themed gift- she'd giggle and say, "oh Greg's gonna love this one! It was a fun day, can't wait till the wedding!!
